Every awning and screen we sell is built to order for your exact opening — and it's covered two ways: the manufacturer's warranty on what we build with, and our workmanship guarantee on how we install it.
Built-to-order quality
Nothing comes off a shelf. Your product is fabricated to the measurements we take at your home, so it fits right, operates smoothly, and lasts. Quality starts before installation day.
Manufacturer-backed materials
Frames, fabrics, motors, and hardware are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If a covered component fails, we handle the claim and the fix — you make one call, to us.
Our workmanship guarantee
We stand behind the installation itself. If an issue traces back to how your product was mounted, anchored, or wired, we make it right.
If something stops working
Don't troubleshoot alone — let us look at it.
- Stop using the product if it's binding, sagging, or making unusual noise. Continued operation can turn a small fix into a big one.
- Call us at (571) 366-7862 or send us a message with a quick description and a photo if you can.
- We diagnose and resolve it — coordinating the manufacturer's warranty claim when a component is at fault, and handling it ourselves when the installation is.
What isn't covered
Like any warranty, coverage has sensible limits:
- Storm damage beyond rated wind loads. Our products are engineered to published wind ratings; damage from conditions that exceed them isn't a product defect. Retract awnings and secure screens when severe weather is forecast.
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs. Alterations, third-party repairs, or parts we didn't supply can void the manufacturer's coverage. If something needs attention, call us first.
Caring for your awning or screen
A little routine care keeps a built-to-order system operating like the day we installed it:
- Retract before storms. The single best habit an owner can have: bring your awning in and secure your screens when severe weather is forecast. Retracted is protected.
- Keep the fabric clean. Brush off loose dirt, leaves, and pollen with a soft brush, rinse with clean water, and let the fabric dry fully before retracting. Skip harsh cleaners and pressure washers — gentle and regular beats aggressive and rare.
- Keep tracks and rails clear. For motorized units, the motor's best friend is a clear path: keep tracks, side rails, and the housing free of debris, and never force a unit that's binding — stop and call us instead.
Quick checks before you call
Two minutes here can save a service visit — and if it's none of these, call us and we'll take it from there:
- Remote batteries. If a motorized unit stops responding to the remote, fresh batteries are the first thing to try.
- Check the breaker. Motorized units run on household power — make sure the circuit breaker (or GFCI outlet) feeding the unit hasn't tripped.
- Wind-sensor retraction is normal. If your awning retracted on its own on a gusty day, that's the wind sensor doing its job — it's protecting the unit, not malfunctioning.
